Chartered Building Company (CIOB)

As London’s premier Chartered Building Company that specialises in loft conversions, our professionalism and integrity are unrivalled.

Chartered Building Companies are bound by a comprehensive Code of Professional Conduct that commits members to maintaining a high quality of service, integrity of conduct and an overriding concern for your best interests at all times. The Chartered Building Company scheme was launched by the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) following years of careful planning that involved close consultation with Government, industry and client bodies.

This scheme has been warmly welcomed by consumer organisations and has come to be regarded as the mark of true professionalism and integrity for the very best construction companies. By choosing a Chartered Building Company you can be sure that, whatever the task, we have the professionalism, resources and commitment to meet your requirements safely and efficiently.

The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS)

Landmark Lofts is proud to be the only RICS-regulated Chartered Building Company that specialises in loft conversions in London.

  • Professionalism – clients can be sure that they are receiving clear, impartial and expert advice from qualified professionals.
  • Security – clients have the comfort of knowing that the firm has a recognised procedure in place to help resolve complaints and also that we provide consumer access to free independent redress and have £1 million Professional Indemnity Insurance (PII) to protect clients should they need to make a claim.
  • Client care – firm members and staff are required to regularly update their skills and knowledge to ensure that clients are treated fairly and receive the best possible service.
  • Protection – clients benefit from RICS’ ‘Client Money Protection Scheme’ which means that any money that is entrusted to us is protected up to the claim limit of £50,000.

Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA)

Independent Warranty Association (IWA)

Upon the completion of your project, you will be issued with an industry-leading ten-year guarantee that covers materials and workmanship in accordance with our terms and conditions. Guarantees are insurance-backed by the IWA.

In the event of a fault occurring within the guarantee period, our guarantees mandate that any necessary remedial work is carried out without charge. Our IWA Insurance means that you can rest assured that your guarantee will be honoured even if we cease to trade during the guarantee period.

Any remedial work undertaken by IWA Insurance must be carried out promptly and by an accredited company, and our insurance-backed guarantees may be passed on to new owners of your property.

IWA also provides protection for your deposit (up to £10,000) in the unlikely event of Landmark Lofts ceasing to trade after you have paid your deposit but before work has commenced (subject to IWA’s terms and conditions). IWA is authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority (FSA).

In addition to these governing bodies, we are also proud to be members of the following organisations:
