Moving up with modular | Landmark Lofts

Like many Londoners, Andrew and Jane weighed up the pros and cons of moving versus renovating, and a loft conversion came out on top, literally. They chose a modular loft for a quick and simple solution to extend their home.

Revolutionary loft conversion

Modular lofts, built offsite, remove the disruption and inconvenience that comes with traditional loft conversions. Constructed in a factory, and delivered to your door, your loft can be craned on to your home in a single day. This speedy solution really appealed to Andrew and Jane, who wanted a guest suite separate from their living space.

Andrew heard about Landmark Lofts after speaking to a previous client and had seen that they were sponsoring a local primary school fair. After balancing the cost of moving against renovating their existing property, the couple contacted three different companies for quotes. The strict quality control in place at Landmark Lofts’ factory, our innovative proposal and the fast installation time meant Andrew and Jane chose us to design and build their modular loft.

When we asked Andrew why he chose Landmark Lofts, he said:

“The professional response and structure of the proposal.”

The on-site experience

Any major building work at your home can be daunting, particularly when you are having your whole roof removed. Landmark lofts ensured the couple were informed and relaxed about the onsite processes, especially on installation day. Our team arrived on site a week before installation to run utilities to the new level and install structural supports. After the loft was craned into place, the team was on site for another week to install the staircase, connect up the utilities and complete the finishing touches.

Andrew was really impressed with Jack, the project manager – “He was excellent” – and was comforted by the fact any questions or concerns could be answered there and then. “The customer experience was very good… the response to solving issues as they arose was professional and sensible,” he said.

“The team performed extremely well and were very hard working. There was a good communication process throughout.”

Spacious satisfaction

Andrew and Jane embraced the idea of an innovative loft conversion, and the reality has lived up to their expectations. They’ve been delighted by the ceiling height, the amount of light the conversion has provided and the quality of the build. Their installation was even less disruptive as their neighbour opted to have a modular loft installed at the same time.
