When Jane purchased her one bedroom flat in South London, she was aware that she had the potential to convert her attic, although she never fully grasped the volume of extra space that was available. With restricted living space, she knew it was either time to sell her home, or convert her loft. Given the rising cost of upsizing, it’s unsurprising that she decided to save the capital cost of moving and invest in improving her current property. Envisioning a double room with an en-suite bathroom and a pod room, she sought a company that would manage the whole process.
“I came across Landmark Lofts online and was reassured by the company’s RICS membership and the numerous positive testimonials.”
Our highly qualified and dedicated team of architects worked closely with Jane, ensuring that she played an integral part in the development of the three new spaces. She wanted her home to flow from one floor to another and was impressed by our attention to detail when integrating the loft space into the wider floor plan. The project also involved clever use of built-in storage to make the best use of her loft space. In offering a truly comprehensive service, we created a master bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, and a pod room in her loft.
Very pleased with our level of expertise, Jane says:
‘Landmark Lofts were really helpful and assured me that they could ensure all details matched the existing fixtures and finishes in the flat, including the staircase.’
Adding over 250 square feet of extra space to Jane’s flat in Furzedown, the loft conversion created three superbly designed spaces, including an elegant double room with an en-suite bathroom and a pod room. Jane is happy that by investing in building a master en-suite and pod room, she has also increased the value of her property. If she decides to sell her flat in the future, it’s worth significantly more, and is now more appealing as a two or even three bedroom property.
Three large Velux windows in the master bedroom allow natural light to permeate the intimate space, enhancing the room as a retreat for calm and comfort. In order to maximise every inch of space, she also had bespoke built-in cupboards and built-in storage tucked into the eaves. Now, the flat feels like a house, and Jane has taken advantage of this extra living space. With her pod room serving as a cosy double room for guests, she has converted her former bedroom on the first floor into a new dining room.
