At Landmark Lofts we pride ourselves on diversity and tolerance | Landmark Lofts

How are you celebrating diversity?

Did you know May 21st is World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development? Created by the United Nations, it is an occasion for people to deepen their understanding of cultural diversity.

At Landmark Lofts, we pride ourselves on our diversity and tolerance, and our head office employs people from over twelve countries including Brazil, Chechnya, Ethiopia and the USA. They include Christians, Muslims, Jewish, Buddhist, Hindu, atheists and agnostics.

Jane, a client in SW16 recently commented on our commitment to gender equality saying,

“the fact that there were women involved the process – meeting Roza at the start, Libby the project manager and Ellie on email reassured me that I wouldn’t be dismissed by a group of men!”

How can you get involved?

Make every day a World Day for Cultural Diversity!  One way you can help enhance your family’s understanding and acceptance of different cultures is through fun activities. Kids love to get involved in learning about other people and the UN has provided a list of ten simple things that you and your family can do to participate.

We’ve decided to come up with five more things you can do with your family...

  • Make flash cards containing flags and national dress and teach the kids to match them up.
  • Learn some foreign nursery rhymes
  • Enjoy a family movie from another country (we highly recommend Studio Ghibli!)
  • Teach your kids how other cultures celebrate their traditions.
  • Have a foreign cookery night. (Take-away does not count!)

Our clients come from all walks of life and we treat everyone with the respect they deserve. We do not allow discrimination of any kind and our clients have frequently commented on how friendly, accommodating non-judgmental our build teams are.
