Dormer conversion with luxurious interior in Richmond TW9 | Landmark Lofts

An impressive use of space to create a bespoke master bedroom and spacious dressing area for Neil and Julia in Richmond. By working with Landmark Lofts to create a dream escape in their own home, they added over 300 square feet of extra living space to their mid-terrace property.

The Project

When Neil and his wife Julia bought their mid- terrace home in 2010, they saw a home in which they could eventually generate additional space. They saw an investment opportunity! Choosing the right loft conversion company is crucial and they sought a company renowned for achieving brilliant designs and one that would adhere to timelines.

For this exciting project, featured in Time & Leisure magazine, Neil visualised a spacious and bright bedroom with French doors, and a Juliet balcony. The room would also feature sufficient wall space for the installation of statement custom-fit wardrobes.

Our approach

Loft conversions present a unique opportunity for our in-house team of specialist architects and design consultants to consider multiple design elements, in order to create a tailored solution. So, our architects were delighted to not only create a bespoke wardrobe space, but also to incorporate a luxurious walk-in dressing room.

What was particularly appealing to Neil, was our integrated team’s proposal to incorporate this dressing room into the ‘dead space’ between the bedroom and bathroom, and to install additional skylights to create more space and maximise natural light.

Thrilled to have been involved at every stage of the project, Neil expresses:

“Landmark Lofts were friendly, worked with us to understand what the best design for the space would be and were also clear on the pricing. What’s more, our project manager was excellent- he was clear with us throughout about progress and made some excellent recommendations.”

The Result

An impressive outcome, the conversion created a bright bedroom with a Juliet balcony and an airy dressing area, above which, a roof dome was installed to maximise natural light. Neil and Julia are happy with the development and the space now serves as their master bedroom. The dressing room which is on a split level from the main bedroom leads onto a conveniently placed en-suite shower. Although the three areas are split across two levels, the overall development is an extensive setting, with each area connecting and flowing wonderfully.
